PHOTOS: Ferry That Kenya Built For Uganda

(Last Updated On: October 21, 2015)

It looks like Kenya does have the talent to actually manufacture a whole ferry. Mombasa based firm, Southern Engineering Company, partnered with German company Damen Shipyards to build Ferry (MV Albert 1) destined for Uganda.

The ferry belongs to Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA). Before being transported by 22 trucks, it will be disassembled then reassembled on arrival. It is 42 metres by 15 metres and can carry around 250 people and 20 vehicles.

Check out some of its photos.
