Recently they did a ritual known as Kũonio itara which basically involves they bride being shown the groom’s homestead. The ceremony was held at the Kenyatta’s family rural home in Ichaweri village, Gatundu South.
The invite only event was attended by various prominent people in government.
Jomo’s fiancee Achola Ngobi and her family got to the place at around 2 pm where she was received by First Lady Margaret Kenyatta together with President Uhuru’s mother Mama Ngina Kenyatta and Kiambu Women’ rep Ann Nyokabi (Uhuru’s cousin).
