How Much Money Jubilee Party Has Made From Nomination Fees

The elections is just around the corner but first various political parties have to deal with the nominations stage.

President Uhuru Kenyatta’s party Jubilee has gotten an estimated amount of Ksh715.8 million from the various aspirants who want to run for a political position under the party.

Governors paid Ksh500,000, senators Ksh250,000, MPs Ksh250,000, Women’s Representatives Ksh250,000 while MCAs Ksh50,000. There was a total of 106 governor aspirants, senators reached 161, women’s rep 171, MPs 1,006 while 6,568 MCAs.

The lists have been submitted to IEBC.

  • Political parties is various countries are the same. Nigeria is not exempted as well. But I was happy when the National assembly pass bill into law regulating what each political party should pay for nomination form. Hope the same is done in Kenya so as to stop sucking the politicians dry. Hence when they get to power they have recovered their money back by sucking the masses public funds . May God bless Africa.
