1. United States

Average yearly salary for a specialist – $370,000

Average yearly salary for a GP – $230,000

How much a doctor can make depends on where they practice and their gender. Generally, male doctors in the US make 36% more than their female counterparts. The pay gap was narrowest for anesthesiologists (12%), radiologists (13%) and family practitioners (14%).
