CFC Stanbic Holdings Ltd had a 10.9% increase in net profit for the full year ended 2014 mainly due to higher interest income. Profit after tax was Ksh5.6 billion as compared to Ksh5.1 billion a year earlier.
Interest income grew by 11.6 percent while the loan book grew to Ksh88.3 billion from Ksh69.1 billion. Customer deposits rose by a small amount from Ksh95.7 billion to Ksh96.8 billion.
Its stock-brokerage arm, SBG, recorded a 26% rise in profit from Ksh188 million to Ksh237 million. This was mainly due to increased investor trading.
