Centum Investment, largely owned by Chris Kirubi is constructing the largest mall in East Africa. The project is named Two Rivers and will be 620,000 square feet. Completion date is expected to be around October next year.
International firms such as Carrefour have already booked more than half of the space available. Carrefour, world’s second largest retailer after Walmart, has personally booked 16.1 percent of the mall space.
The mall is situated on a 100 acre property in Runda/Gigiri area which is along Limuru Road. Two Rivers will be bigger than the upcoming Garden City Mall since it will have a total space of 58,000 square metres while the other one will be just 50,000 square metres.
The total cost is expected to hit sh60 billion.
