The song is about making the most of life so years later you aren’t dwelling on past experiences with regret. Ben looks back at his own experiences which he may have not appreciated as much when they were happening at the time. The main message is to value your experiences as you’re experiencing them, living them to the fullest so years later you aren’t dwelling on them and wish you acted differently, made different choices or taken advantage of the situation in a better way.

 

2. Pitbull – Feel This Moment ft Christina Aguilera


This is a club banger from Pitbull’s album Global Warming which was released in 2012. He stated that the song is basically giving the message ‘feel life, don’t live life for a moment, live life for life, that is your moment.’

The track basically encourages people to live life to the fullest and enjoy each and every moment.

 

3. Avicii – The Nights

The track was inspired by the bars in Ireland where they play folk music to which people dance and drink to. It is written from the point of view of the singer remembering a piece of advice from his father.

The main important message is encouraging young guys not to waste their youth because when they grow older people report missing the days when they were carefree and able to have fun. We should enjoy life to the fullest especially when we are young and make as many memories as we can.

The duo dedicates this song to those who are going through tough financial times, spurring them to spend their last few dollars in the club and just have the time of their lives. It encourages the listeners to take a moment and forget about the weekday problems, not earning enough money and other day-to-day problems. Sometimes these problems are beyond out control so it’s just better to have the time of your life.

It is the 4th track on Pitbull’s 8th studio album Globalization and ended up being certified platinum by the RIAA in 2020.






7. Bon Jovi – Its My Life


“It’s My Life” is the lead single from the album Crush. It peaked at #33 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was able to reach the top 10 in several markets including topping the charts in eight European countries. It was a big fan anthem since they wanted to feel self-assured about themselves.

The track encourages people to seize the moment and do what they want now since they won’t live forever. Everyone, from time to time, gets to a point where you have to take control of your life and steer it in the direction that makes you happy.

This is the second track on Zara’s debut album So Good. It peaked at #1 in her home country Sweden and was able to reach top 5 across Europe making it one of her most successful songs. The song was created in a writing camp by a group of different people in the music industry.

The song is about having fun and living a lavish life. Live you days as if it was the last and do everything you want to do with no past. Live in the moment and try to enjoy it as much as possible.

The single is the closing tracon on Bebe’s third EP, All Your Fault Part 2 and the lead single from her debut studio album, Expectations. It peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the country charts.

Lyrically, the song is about enjoying the moment since we don’t know what will happen in the future. All we can do is wait for it to happen. If something doesn’t work out then there is something better waiting for you.

The track is about living for today and loving without commitment. In the first verse, Louis sings about not being about Mr Right but he is willing to be Mr Right Now. In the chorus, the group sings about them being the perfect guy for having fun at the moment and doing fun things without thinking anything through.

Many speculated that the song is about Taylor Swift but Harry and Louis told People Magazine that they will leave it open for people to interpret it in different ways. They added that everyone draws from personal experiences and to some degree, the relationship influenced some of the songs.

The single is the lead of One Direction’s sophomore album Take Me Home. It peaked at #3 on both US Billboard Hot 100 and UK official charts.

Lyrically, it is about having fun and enjoying life before it’s too late. We see the subject of the song having just a met a lady and he encourages her not to overthink but instead just do stuff and have fun.

‘The Night I Still Young’ is apparently the only pop song on the album The Pinkprint (2014). It peaked at #31 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Ellie shared that sixteen was an age that was pivotal for her in many ways. The song takes her back to the reckless days of being a teenager and hopes it reminds her listeners about the innocence of youth.

This is the first single from Kesha’s sophomore album, Warrior. It was co-written by Nate Ruess. It nods to the popular sentiment of living for the moment or carpie diem and not worrying about what may happen tomorrow.
