The rap music industry is vastly dominated by black members of society. However, there are members of other races who have prospered in this genre. Below is a list of the best and most popular white rappers in the industry:

1. Eminem

Eminem is among the best-selling musicians of all time and was named by Billboard as the “Artist of the Decade (2000 – 2009). Rolling Stone has included him in its list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time and the 100 Greatest Songwriters of All Time. His global success and popular music are widely regarded as having broken racial barriers for the acceptance of white rappers.

In terms of awards, Eminem has won 15 Grammy Awards, 8 American Music Awards, 17 Billboard Music Awards, an Academy Award, a Primetime Emmy Award and an MTV Europe Music Global Icon Award.

2. Iggy Azalea

Iggy Azalea is an Australian rapper and the most popular white female rapper in the male-dominated music industry. She moved to the US at the age of 16 so as to pursue a career in music. Her debut album The New Classic topped the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums making Azalea the first non-American female rapper to reach the top of the chart.

Iggy has two American Music Awards, three Billboard Music Awards, an MTV Video Music Award, a People’s Choice Award, four Teen Choice Awards and four Grammy Award nominations. In 2022, she was able to sell her Masters in an 8 figure publishing deal.

3. G Eazy

G Eazy released his first major-label album These Things Happen and peaked at number 3 on the US Billboard 200. His second studio album, When It’s Dark Out peaked at number 5 on the US Billboard 200. He has hit songs such as “No Limit” and “Me, Myself & I”.

In order to start his rap career, G Eazy sold most of his belongings. He graduated from college and went on a 40-date America’s Most Wanted Music Festival with Lil Wayne, TI and 2 Chainz. He felt the creative content was so much more valuable than any physical content.






4. Macklemore

Macklemore is a rapper from Seattle Washington who shot into worldwide fame when his single “Thrift Shop” reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 2013. It was the first kind to top the Hot 100 chart since 1994 without the support of a major record label. He collaborated with producer Ryan Lewis. Their second single “Can’t Hold Us” also peaked at the top of The Hot 100 chart making them the first duo in the chart’s history to have their first two singles both reach peak position.

Macklemore and Ryan have won four Grammy Awards.

5. Machine Gun Kelly

MGK is known for his genre duality across alternative rock with hip hop. His debut album Lace Up was able to peak at number four on the US Billboard 200 while his second and third albums were able to achieve the same amount of commercial success.

6. NF

NF started his rap career back in 2012 when he released his EP. His second studio album Therapy Session peaked at #12 on the US Billboard 200. His album Perception was able to peak at the top spot in the US and was certified platinum. He has so far won two GMA Dove Awards for Rap/Hip Hop Album of the Year and Hip Hop Recorded Song of the Year.






7. Mac Miller

Mac Miller started his career in Pittsburgh’s hip-hop scene at the age of 15 back in 2010. He signed a record deal with independent label Rostrum Record and released his breakthrough mixtapes K.I.D.S. His debut studio album Blue Slide Park became the first independently distributed debut album to top the US Billboard 200 since 1995. He, unfortunately, passed away at the age of 26 due to a drug overdose.

Lil Dicky became popular in 2013 after releasing the music video for the song Ex Boyfriend, getting more than a million views within an hour. His collaboration with Chris Brown, Freaky Friday, became a worldwide hit and has another hit song named Earth.

9. Tom MacDonald

Tom is a Canadian rapper and former professional wrestler. He first rose to fame after the release of his song “Dear Rappers” His other songs such as Fake Woke, Snowflakes and Brainwashed were able to feature on the Billboard Hot 100 back in 2021.






10. Paul Wall

Paul Wall has released a large portion of his albums under the label Swishahouse Records. He tasted success under Atlantic Records after releasing The Peoples Champ. He has been nominated for one Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance as a Duo or Group for the song Grillz done in collaboration with rapper Nelly.

11. Beastie Boys

They were an American rap rock group that was formed in 1978. They achieved local success with the 1983 comedy hip-hop single Cooky Puss. In 2012, they became the third rap group to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Action Bronson is a man of many talents and one of them is rap. He began his rap career in 2011 and got a record deal with Warner Bros Records in 2012 but was moved to Vice Records. He frequently raps about food and makes reference to sports in New York City.

Russ has released a wide number of songs free online and it was until his 12th studio album that he decided to do it via Columbia Records. His 12th to 14th albums have all peaked at the top 10 spots on the US Billboard 200.

15. Mike Shinoda

Mike is a co-founder of the popular rock band Linkin Park and was its collaborative vocalist. He started venturing into hip hop as a side project in 2004 as Fort Minor, Fort representing the aggressive side of the music. He released the album The Rising Tied which received positive reviews. His song Remember The Name gained massive popularity worldwide.

Mike often raps in some of Linkin Parks songs such as In The End, Good Goodbye and others.
