Diamond and Eric Omondi Having Copyright Issues Over Parody Video

Earlier this week comedian Eric Omondi decided to do another parody of Diamond Platnumz songs. This new one is based on the latest song Utanipenda, with his version called Je Utanipea?

Before uploading it, he even showed it to Diamond Platnumz who shared a short clip of the parody on Instagram captioning it, “Hahahaahahah Ericomondi I swear we Akili huna.” The two are very great friends and Eric visits him whenever he goes to Tanzania.

When Eric Omondi uploaded it on YouTube, it was flagged by YouTube over audio copyright issues and as a result it was muted. YouTube management do not allow anyone to steal another musicians work and repost it on YouTube as your own. Due to the similarity of the original audio and parody audio, it had to be flagged and muted.

Eric went on Instagram to say this, “SORRY GUYS there is a problem with YouTube Audio/Sound we are sorting out… PLEASE BEAR WITH US… Thanks!!!”
