WestJet Airlines is a Canadian airline which was founded in 1996. It was started to be a low cost alternative to the country’s competing major airlines. A new captain joining the the WestJet family with limited experience/1 year experience will get a salary of $136 per hour and this will climb to CA$210/hour once one gets over 12 years experience. A first officer gets a starting salary of CA$56 per hour and once one gets over 12 years experience gets paid CA$128 per flight hour. Pilots are able to get a monthly guarantee of 77.5 hours and anything over 82.5 hours pays 150%.

Pilots are also entitled to a per diem pay of $2.83/hr for domestic and US flights and $3.09/hr for international flights.
