Hoovies Garage Net Worth – $2.5 Million

Hoovies Garage is a YouTube channel created by an American content creator by the name of Tyler Hoover. He is from Wichita, Kansas and has generated an estimated net worth of $2.5 million from the platform. His content is mainly documenting his adventures as an automotive writer buying and trying out different cars in the market. He maintains a fleet of cars he calls the “Hooptie Fleet”

When Tyler was studying at the university, he got a chance to work at a local Chevrolet dealership. He graduated with a degree in Political Science and Government. He then started a dealership known as Ad Astra Automotive but failed due to poor sales.

After shutting down, Tyler got a job as an Opening Coordinator & Operations Support for FFC Midwest. His task was to promote ideas to fast food restaurants and this exposed him to content creation. He started Hoovies Garage in 2016 and two years later did it full-time.

How Much Money Does Hoovies Garage Earn On YouTube?

The channel has over 1.7 million subscribers as of 2024 and has accumulated over 500 million views so far. It is able to get an average of 130,000 views per day from different sources. This should generate an estimated revenue of $1,000 per day ($365,000 a year) from the ads that appear on the videos.

YouTube content creators based in the US, UK, Canada and Australia generally get paid $2 – $12 per 1000 monetized views after YouTube takes its cut. Monetized views usually range from 40% – 80% of the total views. All these are influenced by several factors like the device played on, time of the year, the location of the viewer, ad inventory, how many ads there are on a video, how many people skip the ads, type of advertisement, ad engagement, type of content, etc.

The cost of an ad view is based on an auction between advertisers based on views. Advertisers have to bid a minimum of $0.01 per view.

There is also a program known as Google Preferred where deep-pocketed companies can target ads on the top 5% most popular content. The ad rates here are higher than normal.

Apart from ads, YouTubers also generate extra from YouTube Premium viewers who pay a monthly fee to view premium content on YouTube and watch videos without ads. Here they get paid based on watch time on their videos. The longer the viewers watch their videos, the more money they earn.

Other Sources Of Income

Hoovies Garage is able to get extra income by displaying direct ads within its videos. Tyler has worked with brands such as Policygenius, Upside, Napa Auto Parts, Skillshare, Copart, Movement Watch, Ship Station, Keeps, World Of Warships and many others.
