Kenyan Engineering Student Using Desperate Measures To Beg For A Job

(Last Updated On: June 10, 2016)

Kenyan universities are churning out more graduates than the industry can be able to absorb at the same speed. This has resulted to students heading back to class for even more degrees and qualifications but sometimes even after this it’s still hard to get a job.

This is the case for Gilbert Mutai who graduated from the Technical University of Kenya back in December last year.

Gilbert has a Bsc In Electrical Engineering  and went further to complete two modules in a Project Management Diploma which is offered by KNEC. Well he was still not attractive to employers.

After following all the normal routes to look for job and failed he decided to hold a placard along Muthaiga road since Monday hoping some boss would notice him.

It reads: “I have Bsc Electrical Engineering and Diploma in Project Management. Please help I need a job, CV with me 0722750068”
