Kenyan Female Police Officers To Get New Uniforms

(Last Updated On: May 2, 2014)

After Linda Okello’s tight skirt photo went viral on the internet and on the news on tv, the director of logistics at Vigilance House Ms Beatrice Nduta has ordered all female police officers to be measured the dress sizes so that they may get issued with new uniforms by Friday 9th May. She also stated that their offices had been experiencing a low supply of uniforms and the shortage will be immediately sorted out.

In 2013, the female Kenyan police officers were denied the chance to put on lipstick, have bangles, large earrings or wearing particular clothes while on duty. This is because of protection of the image of the police force.
