KFC Opens Kenya’s First Drive Through Food Outlet
Fast food franchise KFC (Kentucky Friend Chicken) has finally opened Kenya’s first drive through restaurant along Mombasa Road. It is located at Total petrol station. Here customers get their orders while still in their cars. Customer service is expected to be between two and five minutes.
The new store cost $1 million or Ksh90 million to set up. The building was done by Total while KFC did the fit out. KFC plans to open another branch this December and this one will be along Limuru Road. An additional 10 stores will be opened within the next two years due to the rising purchasing power among middle class Kenyans.
