How Nyeri Governor Is Set To Pocket An Easy Ksh1 Billion Cash

Nyeri Governor Nderitu Gachagua is set to bank around Ksh1 billion after the government compensates him for his land that the government is acquiring for the construction of Nairobi’s Southern Bypass.

National Land Commission is set to acquire his 1.2 acre plot where he has built 80 apartments so that they can proceed with road construction after demolition.

The property is located in Nairobi’s South C estate under the company Vipingo Beach Resort Limited which the governor owns 89.94% of. The other owners are Susan Nderitu (10%), Kenneth Gachagua (0.05%) and Rigathi Gachagua (0.01%).
