Photos Of Daylight Stealing Of Transformer Oil In Mombasa

(Last Updated On: June 5, 2015)

Theft of transformer oil in Kenya is one of the major causes of power blackouts in Kenya. A litre of this precious liquid costs around Ksh30,000.

Many say that this oil will be used in frying chips since it can be used over and over. According to reports, adding a little bit of this oil to your normal cooking oil will increase the boiling point of it hence making the cooking oil be great for recycling over and over.

Yesterday in Changamwe, a truck hit a transformer and the residents around rushed with jerry cans to collect the oil pouring. This is dangerous since one can easily get electrocuted. Check out the photos.
