PHOTOS- Standard Gauge Railway Construction In Kenya

(Last Updated On: April 13, 2015)

The standard gauge railway is Kenya’s most expensive project set to improve goods movement from the ports to inland Kenya and other parts of Africa. The project costs Ksh300 billion.

A number of temporary lines are constructed to assist in construction such as the one from the factory at Emali. The factory makes 100 steel reinforced concrete sleepers per day each weighing around 300kg so movement by rail is the best way.

Check out some of the photos from the ongoing construction.
