Wananchi Group’s subsidiary SimbaNet has decided to add voice and Tv services to it fiber internet for its SME customers. Its services now include web hosting, domain name registration, basic TV, internet protocol telephony, security management and cloud disaster recovery.
The have various internet packages for its customers. The 8Mbps package goes for Ksh10,000 per month together with 100 global minutes. The 16Mbps package goes for Ksh18,000 per month with 200 global voice minutes, 50GB data back-up solution and a WiFi router. The 32 Mbps package goes for Ksh25,000 per month with 300 global voice minutes and 100GB cloud data back-up.
These new packages were as a result of customer demands, value addition and operational cost savings. Competition in their space is bound to get stiffer since mobile telcos such as Safaricom are also entering into the fixed internet connectivity.
