Being confused about a relationship is a state of emotional uncertainty or mixed feelings regarding the nature, status, or direction of a romantic partnership. It can manifest in various ways and for various reasons, including: mixed emotions, unclear commitment, lack of clarity, fear of making the wrong choice, personal growth, changing dynamics etc.

2. Beyonce – Ring The Alarm
This is a single from one of Beyonce’s top-selling albums named B’Day. It was inspired by her role in the movie Dreamgirls. It debuted at #12 on the US Billboard singles chart and was certified platinum.
The lyrics indicate that Beyonce isn’t willing to let Jay-Z go because his side chick will swoop in and enjoy all the lavish lifestyle she helped Jay Z build over the years they have been together. She has an internal battle with herself on whether she should stay with him or leave him despite feeling like she is done with the relationship. She just doesn’t want to see him with another woman.
3. Mary J Blige feat Trey Songz – Hood Love
Mary J Blige sings about a man whom she sees as a ride-or-die. She promises him that her love will never fail him and they will make history together. However, sometimes they end up fighting so much that she thinks about leaving him but when she remembers what they have been through together she changes her mind because she has given him her best. She gave her word to love her to the end.
4. Chris Brown – Undecided
In this track, Chris is conflicted about his romantic relationship with a girl. However, the girl is ready for commitment and wants to formalize their relationship. On the other hand, Chris prefers it stay as just a friends-with-benefits type of relationship.

5. Charlie Puth – That’s Not How This Works
Charlie starts out by sharing how he saw his ex with someone else and thus accepted that their relationship had come to an end. He began to move on but his ex expressed her desire to still be with him.

An old lady was telling her about how much she was getting into fights with her partner. One thing that Ruth noted was that no matter how much he hurt her, she would always set the table.
Ruth thinks it’s important for people to know that you’re not alone and you can be confused sometimes about what someone’s role is in your life.
7. Trey Songz – Playboy
This is a single off of the album Tremaine and he continues with his theme of wanting to move on from his playboy lifestyle and focus on finding love plus settling down. He expresses his desire to change yet but he can’t get himself to stop partying and sleeping with different women.
In an interview with Baltimore One Radio, Trey mentions that he really does want to find his true love and settle down. However, he is unsure if he is actually ready for that kind of life.
8. Chris Brown feat Nicki Minaj – Love More
Love More is a track from the album X. It peaked at #23 on the Hot 100 chart and certified 2x Platinum by the RIAA. Lyrically, the song is about a relationship that seems to be going back and forth. Chris says no matter how hard he tries it never seems enough for his girl. He thus decides to let go since he thinks maybe it’s just not meant to be. However, his girl keeps pulling him back each time he walks away.

The track is part of the album Tremaine (2017). In the preceeding album, Trigga, Trey Songz portrays himself having funs, going to parties and sleeping with different women. In the next album, we see a side of Trey that wants to settle down and start a family. “Nobody Else But You” is a representation of this theme.
