Colors are important because they can make us feel a certain way when we see it depending on whether we like that particular color or not. We can also use them as communication tools that can be used to signal action, and influence mood and physiological reactions. Below is a list of songs with colors in the title:
1. Cardi B – Bodak Yellow
This is the first single Cardi B released with Atlantic Records since signing to the label in 2017. She sings about her past as a stripper and how her work ethic earned her a spot in the rap game. The track was able to reach the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the second solo female rap song to top the chart ever.
2. Taylor Swift – Maroon
This is the second song on Taylor Swift’s tenth album Midnights. Maroon here suggests a darker more grown-up version of the blindly passionate love she dashed into on Red. The shades of red are a constant in the relationship but maroon is a brownish crimson color.

It is believed that the song is about actor Jake Gyllenhaal. Taylor Swift stated that the relationship that she was in at the time was the best thing ever and the worst thing ever at the same time. The track is purely about female dominance in the relationship.
8. Taylor Swift – White Horse
The track talks about falling in love and the fairy tales that you are going to have with this person. However, there is that moment when you realize it is not going to happen. White Horse shows the comparison and her realization that fairytales aren’t real and she isn’t the princess to her prince anymore.

The hit track peaked at #2 on the Hot 100 and Prince explained this in regards to the concept of it, “Purple rain pertains to the end of the world and being with the one you love and letting your faith/god guide you through”.
