StarTimes Media will spend around Ksh6.9 million to establish its Africa Headquarters in Kenya by the end of 2015. It will be the Centre for Film and Broadcasting Television. The premises will cover 20,000 square metres in Karen, Nairobi and it will have 6 units. These will be StarTimes Africa Headquarters, StarTimes Kenya offices, a film and television dubbing center, StarTimes Broadcasting Station, Digital TV research and a Training Centre.
The Kenyan government is very committed to make it easier to do business in Kenya and attract more foreign investment. This will be through better policies and infrastructure improvement. StarTimes groups has cited Kenyan market as having a high appetite for affordable digital television service plus describes Kenya’s economy being very strong.
