Tanzania’s New Modern Bus Rapid Transit Starts Operations (PHOTOS)
Dar es Salaam has just modernized its transport system thanks to the commencing of the new Bus Rapid Transit buses transporting people.
Commuters will need to get cards and barcodes to be used for electronic payments. The buses will operate for 19 hours a day everyday from 5am and commuters will pay only Tsh800 as the maximum amount.
These buses will never experience traffic jams since they will have their own exclusive lanes. The local government owns 49% of the bus company while Simon group owns the majority stake of 51%.
So much development and a welcome solution for the public transportation.
