While Mumias Sugar is suffering with production and politicians bickering about Uganda sugar imports, Lugazi Sugar from Uganda has already hit the shelves of various supermarkets in Kenya. As we suspected it is highly cheaper than Mumias Sugar or any other locally produced sugar.

In Nakumatt it is currently retailing at Ksh195 while Mumias sugar goes for Ksh240. We if it were me, I would pick Lugazi without thinking twice.
