When it comes to radio, Kenyan comedian Jalang’o is a huge name in that industry. Starting from just a salary of less than Ksh40,000 a month at Kiss FM, he is now paid millions to co-host with Jeff Koinange in their morning hit show at Hot 96.

News is in that Jalang’o will quit that dream job in the next few years to try out his hand in politics. He has set his eyes on the Lang’ata Parliamentary seat in 2022. He is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Community Development at Daystar University and he hopes the course will help him manage and interact with his constituents should he get elected.

“I am 35 years now with my next birthday on the 27th of April. These are probably my last five years on radio. I will be 40 years then, what else will I be doing? Let me give back and that is why I will be vying.

I choose community development because as MP for Lang’ata constituency I have to be able to take care of community matters.

I am graduating in 2019, it will be lit for days. The day I graduate this town will not sleep. I have achieved all these (success) without having a degree, imagine what am about to do once I get it”

As you all know, Jalang’o is one of the most sought out MCs in the industry. He hosts numerous corporate events every week where he gets paid hundreds of thousands.
