Nairobi residents will now need to start having at least Ksh50,000 in emergency cash since majority never use zebra crossing nor observe traffic lights.

A new Bill titled Nairobi City County Public Nuisance Bill 2016 has been tabled to tackle common nuisances in the city such as garbage dumping and noise. It is sponsored by Viwandani MCA Samuel Nyagwara.

If the Bill is passed, resident who don’t observe traffic lights nor use zebra crossing or any other public directional signs will pay a hefty fine. Motorists who jump lights will be hauled to City Hall court.
