YouTube Planning An Ad-Free Subscription Based Version Of YouTube

Online video service YouTube might soon want to offer you a YouTube version without those annoying pre-roll ads. This will come at a price. Currently YouTube is free and they mainly generate revenues through ads which they share revenues with the owners of the videos.

The subscription model would exist alongside the current ad-supported model. This new model would actually be focused on certain type of video content hence YouTube might just be entering Netflix’s space.
